Amaryllis 'Mambo' Bulb

1. Planting the Bulb:
Container: Choose a pot 1–2 inches wider than the bulb, with drainage holes.

Soil: Use well-draining potting mix.

Planting Depth: Leave the top third of the bulb exposed above the soil.

2. Light:
Place in a bright, indirect light location.

After leaves emerge, move to a sunny windowsill for best flowering.

3. Watering:
Water sparingly until growth appears.

Then water when the top inch of soil is dry. Avoid waterlogging the bulb base.

4. Temperature:
Ideal temperature: 60–75°F (15–24°C).

Avoid drafts and temperature extremes.

5. During Bloom:
Turn the pot regularly to prevent leaning toward the light.

Stake stems if needed to support large blooms.

6. After Flowering:
Cut off the flower stalk(s) once blooms fade, but leave the foliage.

Continue watering and feeding with a balanced fertilizer every 2–3 weeks.

7. Dormancy & Reblooming:
In late summer/early fall, reduce watering.

Let the leaves yellow and wither naturally.

Store bulb in a cool, dark, dry place (50–55°F or 10–13°C) for 8–10 weeks.

Repot or bring out of storage for the next blooming cycle.
